The Big Affair - Wedding Photography Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Big Affair! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our wedding photography services. By booking with The Big Affair, you agree to these terms in full. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking & Payment

  • A signed contract and a non-refundable deposit of 50% are required to secure your wedding date.
  • The remaining balance is due one month before the event date.
  • Payment options may be available upon request.
  • Additional services or overtime requests will incur extra fees, which must be agreed upon in writing.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • If the client cancels the booking, the deposit remains non-refundable.
  • Cancellations made within 3 months before the wedding will require full payment.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.
  • If The Big Affair must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, we will refund all payments made or assist in finding an alternative photographer.

3. Photography Services & Delivery

  • The Big Affair will provide professional wedding photography services as outlined in your contract.
  • The photographer retains creative discretion in shooting style, editing, and selection of images.
  • Final edited images will be delivered within 2 months via an online gallery
  • Raw/unedited images are not provided.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • The client must ensure all necessary permissions and venue access for photography.
  • Cooperation from the couple, guests, and vendors is essential for optimal photo results.
  • The Big Affair is not responsible for compromised coverage due to weather, lighting conditions, venue restrictions, or client/guest interference.

5. Usage Rights & Copyright

  • The Big Affair retains the copyright to all images.
  • Clients receive a personal-use license for sharing and printing.
  • Commercial use or third-party publishing requires prior written consent.
  • The Big Affair reserves the right to use images for marketing, portfolio, website, and social media unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

6. Liability & Force Majeure

  • The Big Affair is not liable for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to equipment failure, illness, accidents, extreme weather, or acts of God.
  • In the event of unforeseen issues, reasonable efforts will be made to rectify the situation or provide an alternative solution.

7. Model Release

  • By booking, the client grants permission for The Big Affair to use images for promotional purposes unless a written request for privacy is submitted before the event.

8. Governing Law

  • These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
  • Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation or legal proceedings within Los Angeles County, CA.
